Dansby Swanson loses arbitration case, will make $6 million

Post przez Etchebarren » 12 kwi 2021, o 04:58

One of the final remaining details of the Atlanta Braves offseason is now complete as the AP reports that shortstop Dansby Swanson has lost his arbitration case with the team Charlie Morton Dog Jersey. MLB.com Mark Feinsand later confirmed the report. Swanson will earn $6 million for the 2021 season instead of his request for $6.7 million. Swanson put together the best season of his young career in 2020 appearing in all 60 games while hitting .274/.345/.464 with 10 home runs. He finished with a career best 116 wRC+ and was worth a career high 1.9 fWAR. He was slated to make $3.15 million in 2020 before the pandemic so Swanson will still receive a hefty raise. The Braves finish 1-1 in arbitration cases this offseason. Mike Soroka won his arbitration hearing last week receiving a salary of $2.8 million. Atlanta entered the offseason with seven arbitration eligible players. They were able to reach deals with Johan Camargo, Grant Dayton, Max Fried, Luke Jackson and A.J. Minter thus avoiding arbitration. They elected to non-tender Adam Duvall who recently signed a one-year deal with the Miami Marlins Satchel Paige Dog Jersey.
